"Can we open presents, Daddy????"
Yay!!!!!
Let's GO!!!
First the girls opened presents from each other...
And it seems that they had chosen their gifts well!
They liked the mushrooms I made...
And the girls gave me a new apron! YAY! I'm tired of ruining my clothes cooking...
And they got Mike a good toy!!!
Mike got Phoebe a magic kit... that was really no end of fun!

She looks proud of herself... no?
And then it was Christmas Day... Phoebe decided that since everyone left Santa cookies and milk he might appreciate a healthy snack from us, hence the non-traditional apple. We also left carrots for the reindeer!
Nora got her mini watercolor set that she repeatedly asked for from Santa... it was the ONLY thing she claimed to want.
Luckily, Santa also suspected that she'd like a scooter!
...and much too early for me, Santa capitulated and got Phoebe an iPod. She asked for it for two years running. Luckily it came with some good audio stories loaded on it... along with appropriate music... and since Santa is pretty computer savvy he was able to limit how loud it can get! Smart Santa!
Then, Christmas Day we went to have dinner with the whole family, which the girls always love! Especially since they got a new baby cousin this year! They LOVE to hold him... I think it makes them feel like really big girls!
I very much wanted a cute picture of the girls all dressed up for Christmas, so we sat them down by the tree... in the new chair that Santa brought Mike... and what we got was a preview of next year's Christmas card...
Happy New Year everyone!!!
