April... the first half...

We started out the month with Nora's official birthday on the 5th!  We have a little ritual where the birthday girl walks around a candle and we all reminisce about each year of her life so far... it's fun to go back and remember how far she's come from the infant she was only a few years ago!

We had so much fun around Nora's birthday (it was over Spring Break from school)... we went to the Oakland Zoo...

 We went to Gilroy Gardens with friends...

 and went roller skating with yet more friends...

 
Right on the heels of Nora's birthday was Easter... so we moved right from birthday celebrations to dyeing eggs and setting everything out for the Easter bunny!  

It's always fun to dye eggs... we make a big production out of it... this year our new technique was stripes made with rubber bands...

...and you can never beat the excitement of the hunt!

And here's the loot... geesh... the Easter Bunny tried to take it easy... but all those pretty colorful things make it so darned hard!

...Oh... and the tooth fairy has been very busy around here... I think that one week alone Phoebe lost one tooth and Nora lost two!  This picture is Phoebe calling her dad from Gilroy Gardens to tell him that it fell out.
