Phoebe's 7th Birthday...

Hard to imagine she's 7! She's too big to lay in my lap, nearly too big for me to carry, and I guess I'm just going to have to get used to it. This year, she couldn't decide between having a party with all of her friends or having a slumber party with a few... so she opted for the best of both worlds. She invited about 10 people, including boys... some for an afternoon party, and the girls were invited to spend the night. Some did, some didn't... and in the end it worked out pretty well!

And the morning of Phoebe's actual birthday (the 19th)... she woke up to this!

We always do some decoration for the birthday girl to wake up to... starting the day out special is always good! Our tradition so far is that the actual birthday is a family celebration... just the four of us, and the birthday girl gets to decide what we're going to do. Phoebe chose to go to Children's Fairyland in Oakland (we had never been there)... and we had a good time.
